Amanda, what a wonderful share. Thank you so, so much. (And that’s hilarious! Hahaa! The type of story that is aggravating in the moment, but another reminder that motherhood is many things, but boring is never one of them!)

I agree wholeheartedly on yoga over napping. For many reasons. xo

I keep my yoga mat and bolster next to my newborn son’s crib and when I finally get him down and all I want to do is crawl into bed, I roll out my mat instead. I also squeeze in a few postures after our early am nursing sessions before my 21 month old daughter wakes (for usually the third time;) and getting my 6 year old son off to school.
If I chose my mat before sleep then I always feel better, I usually have trouble falling asleep anyways and after a small practice all of me feels better, body mind and heart:)

Yesterday morning I decided to feed my daughter while she was in the tub to save time (she only eats mush food still despite all my efforts to move to solids ) while bouncing my baby in his bouncy chair just outside the tub and while this was a good idea in theory, she decided to poop in the tub and throw it out of the tub, hitting her baby bro in the face! It was not my best plan after all;) I will however never forget this morning and will tell her about this when she is older and have another laugh:)
I feel less alone reading your posts, I too choose my babies over long overdue phone conversations and I live very remotely on a mountain in ontario , Canada and I enjoy this seclusion and being fully here right now with my babies during this precious and fleeting time, we will never ever regret giving our children more of us! ?

I liked my half hour of quiet, after their bed time and before my married bed time. that’s when I would breathe, take a few breaths, and just BE.
